The Opportunity

Marketo is experiencing a rapid, high rate of growth globally. It is critical to the business that we continue to build sales productivity and velocity.  In order to ensure success, this requires ownership of tools, processes, and enablement programs that will drive rapid, consistent, and scalable programs (I.e.: Onboarding, continuing education, accreditations, events, etc.). This requires an individual with innate technology rigor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build an enablement/delivery function that will scale to accommodate the needs of Marketo as it grows through geographic and product expansion.

 Join our Global Enablement Team to lead the planning, design, and implementation of Sales enablement programs. Develop plans for the US, EMEA and APAC regions that include onboarding and continuous education activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for development & productivity, for the sales, technical, HR, and partner communities, with a strategic focus on the design, development, implementation and delivery of all enablement activities, tools, processes, programs, and accreditations, globally
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to identify knowledge and skills gaps across the company, conduct on-going needs assessments, and roll-out targeted programs in coordination with the Sales, Marketing, Support, and Operations Leadership teams.
  • Translate business needs into sales training products and programs. Consistently enhances and updates the current training programs and products.
  • Act as a liaison/partner between Indirect Sales, Customer Support, Professional Services, Marketing, Finance, HR and other internal stakeholders
  • In conjunction with Sales Leadership and Sales Operations; Define, create and update Partner certification content to align with solutions roadmaps, customer satisfaction information, professional services health checks as well as expanding use cases and best practices.
  • Design and implement metrics to ensure consistent evaluation and measurement of accreditations globally
  • Translate business needs into sales training products and programs. Consistently enhances and updates the current training programs and products.
  • Manage vendor relationships to prepare and/or oversee the direct and indirect sales, professional services, and customer support enablement programs such as classes, workshops, learning modules, and other job aids and materials for distribution.

 Required Skills/Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience of sales enablement or sales training developing program experience and delivery of projects
  • Experience with onboarding pre-sales and sales teams
  • Experience in curriculum development, training, and delivery
  • Experience with marketing practices and product implementations
  • Experience with Salesforce and JIVE
  • Proven project and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be a quick learner, self-starter and have the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage the rollout, adoption, and knowledge transfer of sales tools best practices
  • Competent presentation skills for online or classroom training delivery
  • Ability to travel as necessary
