The Opportunity


Marketo is looking for world-class Consultants who can deliver high value service to our fast-growing base of small and mid-market business clients.   You will provide consulting services that help them get started using Marketo successfully and that help them maximize the value they get from their solution.  This will enable them to achieve breakthrough results in revenue generation.   As a Marketo Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of customer engagements as well the achievement of revenue goals for Marketo Client Services.  We are looking for passionate, high energy marketing or marketing automation experts who can provide strategic and tactical advice that leverage their real-life experience. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:    

  • Become proficient in Demand Generation, Marketing Automation, and Marketo service offerings
  • Apply this knowledge to deliver high value services engagements to Marketo customers
  • Provide phone based and occasionally on-site strategic and tactical consulting related to Marketo
  • Set expectations, communicate implementation project timeline and define the onboarding process
  • Confirm that all activities required during Marketo setup and implementation are completed
  • Create and manage ongoing relationships with clients through their early use of Marketo
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, methodologies, and other intellectual capital
  • Team effectively with other parts of the organization to address and resolve customer issues
  • Apply Marketo implementation project methodologies across all projects
  • Manage ongoing client communications and share status updates with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage project risk to ensure timely, on-budget project execution and closure
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional products and services
  • Work cross functionally to transition and handoff customers to other parts of the Client Services team

 

The Ideal Candidate will Have the Following Qualifications and Skills:  

  • 2-3 years experience using Marketo or other similar Marketing Automation solutions  
  • 3-5 years experience creating and/or executing marketing strategy, programs or demand gen campaigns
  • 3-5 years experience delivering consulting services including involvement in selling services
  • Excellent client management and project management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Executive level presence and experience in facilitation
  • Strong organizational and planning skill with meticulous attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, highly driven and self-assured
  • Bachelors Degree required, Advanced Degree strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 60%
