The Opportunity:

We are looking for a highly technical, hands-on individual who will deliver stellar results on our top performing and expanding pre-sales systems architecture team.  You will evangelize the Marketo Revenue Performance Management solutions to technical marketers, developers and sales audiences and be the expert with Marketo solutions during the sales cycle, while performing customized API and product demonstrations via the web and in person to our customers and prospects. As a Marketo Solutions Architect, you will understand customer goals and challenges and establish Marketo as the leading solution, build and present customized demonstrations, present Marketo technology infrastructure, and demonstrate deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security environments.  You will participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective, and will attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.  You will assist Pre-Sales Solutions Consultants and Account Executives with RFPs and assist in business case development when required. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Small, Mid-Market and Enterprise Account Executives in a fast paced sales environment to identify and uncover customer business goals, needs and pains
  • Demonstrate the value proposition of the Marketo solution through highly customized product demonstrations
  • Create strategic and technical sales strategies, presentations and product demonstrations for small and mid-market and level customers
  • Hold broad accountability for the technical excellence of the Marketo Platform, from code quality to sales
  • Provide technical insight, feedback and recommendations across a wide range of projects, to help solutions consultants and account executives deliver their best work to prospects and customers
  • Lead the evolution of the Marketo Product from the front lines by establishing a deep relationship with the product team after analyzing prospect and customer needs.
  • Keep up with the ever-changing landscape of SaaS and alert managers, engineers and product team when warranted.

 

Required Skills/ Experience:

  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering MIS or equivalent work
  • Strong development skills with experience in creating web services.  Experience with Python or Java is required.
  • Highly dependable, self-starter, high energy, positive attitude with good organization and time management skills
  • Experience providing solutions to small and mid-market and enterprise level customers
  • A proven history of quota over-achievement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork skills a must, ability to lead and manage resources
