Senior Customer Account Manager - West

The Opportunity

Marketo Customer Account Managers are helping marketers change the way they interact with their customers and prospects. Customer Account Managers are responsible for the relationship between customers and Marketo, driving value discussions, and insuring return on investment. Customer Account Managers are consultants who are able to guide customers through the process of creating a world class marketing organization.

Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively manage and grow a portfolio of assigned customers.
  • Strategic consulting in marketing best practices.
  • Ability to organize and deliver executive level presentations.
  • Project management.
  • Close renewal business on a monthly basis, meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Develop pipeline and close new add-on sales within our existing customer base.


Required Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in digital marketing, analytics, customer success, account management, or consulting experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Previously worked with customers to develop strategies leading to successful software implementation and usage.
  • Leadership, strong work ethic, ability to work independently, self motivated, and team oriented.
  • Understanding of software, marketing, and analytics terminology, strategies, and concepts.
  • Capable of managing high stress situations and dealing with changes.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and organization skills.
  • Experience with contract negotiations/closing business.

Special Consideration Given:

  • Masters degree or advanced education.
  • Account management, consulting, or project management experience.
  • Experience with digital or mobile marketing and analytics.
  • Previous account management or customer success experience in a SaaS environment.
