The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Director of Regional Alliances to drive the Commercial Segment Partner strategy and engagement to drive business through partnerships with Strategic Marketo Partners, Regional Systems Integrators, Local Agencies and Technology Partners in the 1-750 employee market. This role requires a high performance individual contributor who can thrive in a rapid growth environment and exceed revenue targets. The ideal candidate is a networked sales and alliance professional who has worked in the SAAS marketplace driving revenue through scalable programs and managing a small group of focused Partners. The position requires the ability to analyze the current market and put together scalable programs for growth, an understanding of the SMB/Commercial space, relationship building skills, channel sales experience, and the ability to work independently. This position will manage the day-to-day field execution with partners and be the quarterback to align Marketo Sales and Partner Sales teams to source and close new opportunities generated through partners. The candidate can be located anywhere in the US, but Silicon Valley (San Mateo, CA) is preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assess Marketo Commercial business (1-750 employees) and determine/create the right programs for revenue growth through Partners.
  • Achieve monthly quota targets for opportunity generation and pipeline growth in the Commercial segment.
  • Work closely with the Marketo Alliances and Sales teams to drive Partner engagement in the field.
  • Create and drive the scalable Go To Market plans with Partners in the Commercial segment.
  • Enhance/Re-create existing Managed Service Provider program.
  • Provide accurate weekly reporting of forecast and pipeline.
  • Create awareness for Marketo’s solutions amongst assigned team of Partners and assist in positioning Marketo as the Engagement Platform of choice.
  • Maintain knowledge in product, marketplace, and current business issues, and disseminate appropriate knowledge to Partners.
  • Cultivate strong consultative relationships with key individuals at top Partners and act as single point of contact to ensure satisfaction of top partners
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of top Partners’ business (pain points, investment areas, profitability factors, etc.)

 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Deep experience in Commercial segment (1-750 employees) and creating programs that scale
  • Experience selling regional, vertical and horizontal solutions with Strategic Partners
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding quotas
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • College or University degree required.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% is required.
