The Opportunity:  


A Marketo Principal Business Consultant should have a unique blend of strategic business acumen and advanced technology skills.  They must possess the ability to architect solutions through mapping customer business problems and to provide leadership in the implementation of the Marketo solution to enterprise clients. In addition, the Principal Business Consultant should be an extension of the Sales team by easily engaging with technology and business decision makers in presales discussions that demonstrate their experience and deep knowledge of the Marketing Automation space.

The position is ideally suited to a marketing business leader wishing to apply their domain expertise, leadership and solution skills to a broad range of business transformation projects in a consulting capacity.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Be a leader who thrives on taking ownership.
  • Lead major implementation / customer projects (enterprise clients) and internal cross departmental projects
  • Partnering with Sales to architect, win and deliver business transformation projects
  • Support the Engagement team with their expertise when estimating, scoping, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk
  • Participate as part of an advisory team in the definition and delivery of methodologies for Marketo consulting
  • Be a brand ambassador for Market and the Marketo consulting team
  • Produce standardized project documentation
  • Work across all functions to understand changes in customer needs and perspectives.
  • Mentor/train consultants and be highly visible within the team and wider organisation
  • Keeping abreast with the latest trends, legal requirements and best practices in the marketing realm

 

Required Skills/Requirements:  

  • In-depth knowledge of marketing, marketing automation and the benefits of marketing automation
  • Solid understanding of CRM solutions (SFDC/MSD a distinct advantage) and integration logic from a business process perspective
  • Strong understanding of web technologies in general including CMS’s, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web analytics, tag management and/or paid advertising tools would also be an advantage
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion and delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional Public Speaking/Social Media Communication skills
  • Excellence at presenting to and conveying their ideas to large groups of executives, key Marketo users, and technical personnel
  • Understanding of budgetary boundaries and anticipate risk of exceeding budget
  • Maintain or exceed utilization requirements as documented
  • Thought leader in the industry
