The Opportunity

Marketo is looking for a Technical Consultant to join our SMB Professional Services team.  You will play a critical role in integrating and customizing the Marketo solution for our clients.  You will be responsible for defining and delivering the technical aspects of client engagements during the implementation and ongoing adoption of their marketing automation solution.  You will work with our Corporate and Agency clients to ensure they receive excellent technical assistance, efficient project management and high quality ongoing technical expertise.  You will also partner closely with our Sales team to scope the appropriate data integration solutions during the pre-sales process. 

 

Primary Job Responsibilities:  

  • Demonstrate technical leadership in Marketo consulting projects with clients and partners
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions to define technical solutions aligned with client needs
  • Lead the development of architectural designs required to integrate Marketo with data sources   
  • Help clients setup the integration between Marketo and their CRM solution such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, and Sugar CRM
  • Help clients setup the integration between Marketo and other non-CRM data sources
  • Communicate complex, technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
  • Develop standardized and reusable solutions for systems and data integration
  • Manage client expectations and project scope
  • Provide pre-sales support and scoping when required to help clients understand the onboarding process
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Marketo products & services and how they apply to specific situations
  • Develop standardized and reusable solutions for systems and data integration

 

The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge & hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages, web services, web development, RESTful APIs, and relational databases
  • Proven success in design, development and delivery of SaaS integration solutions
  • At least 1 year of experience as a technical consultant or similar role
  • Experience with middleware integration tools desirable (Informatica, Boomi, Scribe, Mulesoft, etc.)
  • Knowledge of enterprise systems, Marketing Automation, CRM or ERP solutions
  • Experience with either/all of Python, Javascript, ASP.NET, C# and Java
  • Experience implementing marketing technology solutions in a client-facing role is desirable
  • Capable of multi-tasking and accepting changes to both tasks and schedule
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering
